On-going Projects
- Topical Topology
- “Topical Topology” is a project that I’m working on with Sean Chen for a class at Berkeley’s iSchool. The hope is to discover the relationship between content and form in social networks. Specifically, we are using LDA topic modelling on data from Twitter to see how the distribution of topics are reflected in the social structure.
- Digifesto
- A blog about politics and open source software, updated intermittently.
- GeoNode
- GeoNode is an open source spatial data infrastructure solution that was the main focus of my work at OpenGeo. Since l left for grad school, I’ve only peripherally involved, though I currently still sit on the project steering committee.

- I played harmonica with this blue band when I lived in New York City.

- The Interrationale
- A philosophical blog attempting an analytic treatment of Marxist, Situationist, and Frankfurt School texts.
